NFL × AMAZON
Executive produced broadcast graphics, motion design, and digital content packages for Amazon's Thursday Night Football. Delivered Emmy-nominated campaign work across CG illustration, animation, and broadcast design.
Heritage meets digital-first.
Amazon's Thursday Night Football needed a distinctive broadcast visual identity that married NFL heritage with Prime Video's digital-first audience. The challenge: create a graphic language that felt rooted in football tradition while pushing into territory that resonated with a streaming-native viewership.
Every week brought a new market, a new matchup, and a new set of visual demands. The system had to be flexible enough to scale across an entire season while maintaining a cohesive creative identity from Week 1 through the playoffs.
City-specific visual narratives.
Developed illustrated city-specific visual narratives for each game market, blending team iconography with local landmarks. Each week's package told the story of the host city through a unique CG illustration style that wove together architectural details, team culture, and regional identity.
The concept gave every broadcast a distinct sense of place while maintaining the overarching TNF visual system. From skyline silhouettes to iconic local textures, each illustration package was designed to make viewers feel the city before kickoff.
From style frames to broadcast.
Built a CG illustration pipeline from the ground up: style frame development, animation tests, and iterative reviews with Amazon's broadcast team. Every asset moved through a rigorous approval process before going to air.
The production pipeline was engineered for weekly delivery cadence. Style frames locked early in the week, animation builds mid-week, final delivery and QC before broadcast. Zero missed deadlines across the full season.
"Every city got its own story. Every broadcast felt like a homecoming."Sean Sullivan, Executive Producer
